THIS I THAT IS ALL OF YOU

A group publication formed as an exhibition where the works of others are realized solely for the book. Participants were invited to make contributions of their own prerogatives, conceptually, and without any imposed theoretical through-line. And what eventually formed between the pages is an abstract exhibition of collective beauty, presence, and edge

UNTITLED

Sounds taken from 2-3am on 28 August 2010 in Ventura, California and from 6:30-7:31am on 25 December 2014 in Brooklyn, New York. Both recordings were realized using an auto-record function and timer. I have no basis for this work aside from intuitive logic and maybe a listening aesthetic. Rendered 2015; 25:42, 498mb

CORRIDOR PIECE

Two loudspeakers are positioned inside of a corridor in a vacant industrial building. An audience is assembled inside the corridor facing the loudspeakers some distance away... then complete darkness. Noise sounds abruptly emerge into the space at a rapid constant rate for a moment of time roughly equivalent to the adjustment period for vision in a low light environment... followed by maximum silence. Listener participants shared subjective experiences of ecstasy, anxiety, no-mindedness, and other occurrent states of being
